About
Each mod is one small JSON file that renames and retunes the game's units, buildings, wonders, technologies, civilizations and terrain. A mod can also choose the age a game begins in and which victories are open.
The repo starts with five mods: Open Frontier, Warring Dawn, Great Works, Kings of Bronze, and Smoke and Steel. To play one, open Tessera4X, choose Play by a mod, and load the file. You can also ask an AI assistant to write a mod: the game gives you a brief to copy.
